Dairen Chemical Corporation(DCC) was founded in 1979 at 9 th, No. 301, Song Kiang Road, Taipei, Taiwan, incorporated with a joint venture by Chang Chun Plastics Co., Ltd. (長春企業集団＊　：　was established in 1950 by Messrs M. K. Liao, Suhon Lin, S. Y. Tseng) Chang Chun Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (was established in 1964 by Chang Chun Plastics Co., Ltd.) and Nan Pao Resins Chemical Co., Ltd. (南宝樹脂化学会社 : was established in 1961at Tainun, Taiwan).
　　　＊Manufacturer of a-cyanoacrylate adhesive, insulation paper, epoxy resin and steam.
The factory was set-up at Ta-She Industrial Zone, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, for production of 85,000 MTY Vinyl Acetate Monomer under the license of Bayer AG, West Germany.


1981 Jun. Started construction of VAM Plant at Kaohsiung Factory.
1983 Mar. Started VAM production with capacity of 85,000 MTY.
1984 Jan. Started construction of Ethyl Acetate Plant at kaohsiung Factory.
1984 Oct. Started Ethyl Acetate production with capacity 16,000 MTY and then expended to 30,000 MTY.
1985 Apr. Started construction EVA Emulsion No.1 unit at Kaohsiung Factory.
1986 Jan. EVA Emulsion No.1 unit started-up with capacity 2,700 MTY.
1986 Feb. Started construction of EVA Emulsion No.2 unit at Kaohsiung Factory.
1986 Aug. EVA Emulsion No.2 unit started-up with capacity 2,700 MTY and started immediately construction
　　　　　　　of EVA Emulsion No.3 unit at Kaohsiung Factory.
1987 May EVA Emulsion No.3 unit started-up with capacity 6,600 MTY and started immediately construction
　　　　　　　of EVA Emulsion No.4 unit at Kaohsiung Factory.
1988 Jun. EVA Emulsion No.4 unit started-up with capacity 6,600 MTY at Kaohsiung Factory.
1988 Jul. Started construction of EVA Emulsion No.5 and 6 unit at Kaohsiung Factory.
1990 Aug. EVA Emulsion No.5 and 6 unit started-up with capacity 26,000 MTY at Kaohsiung Factory.
1993 Mar. Kaohsiung Factory granted VAM, EVA ISO9002 certificate.
1994 Dec. Commencement of production for VAE Redispersible Powder for the capacity of 1,000 MTY

1995 Apr. Started construction of EVA Emulsion No.7 and 8 unit at Kaohsiung Factory and VAM Plant
　　　　　　　increase capacity to 120,000 MTY.
1996 Apr. EVA Emulsion No.7 and 8 unit started-up with capacity 26,000 MTY.
1997 Apr. Kaohsiung Factory granted VAM,EVA ISO14001 certificate.
1997 May Started construction of BDO(1,4-Butanediol) Plant at Ta-Fa Factory
1998 May BDO Plant started-up with capacity 30,000 MTY
1998 Aug. Dairen Chemical (M) Sdn. Bhd. established in Malaysia.
1999 Apr. VAM Plant at Kaohsiung Factory switched to produce Allyl Alcohol with capacity 89,000 MTY
1999 May Started construction of PTG(PTMEG) Plant at Ta-Fa Factory.
1999 Nov. Started construction of VAE Redispersible Powder Plant No.2 Plant at Kaohsiung Factory
　　　　　　　and VAM No.2 Plant at Mai-Liao Factory.
2000 Mar. Started construction of Dairen Chemical (M) Sdn. Bhd. EVA Emulsion Plant in Malaysia.
2000 Jun. Ta-Fa Factory granted BDO, MPO, ISO9002 certificate.
2000 Jul. PTG Plant started-up with capacity 10,000 MTY at Ta-Fa Factory.
2000 Aug. VAE Redispersible Powder No.2 Plnat strated -up with capacity 9,000 MTY at Kaohsiung Factory.
2000 Nov. Dairen Chemical (M) Sdn. Bhd. EVA Emulsion Plant started-up with capacity 30,000 MTY.
2001 Jan. Completed the construction and Stared-up of LCO2 Plant with Capacity of 10,000MTY at Kaohsiung Factory.
2001 Apr. VAM No.2 Plant started-up with capacity 240,000 MTY at Mai-Liao Factory.
2001 Sep. Started construction of BDO No.2 Plant with capacity 70,000 MTY at Ta-Fa Factory.
2001 Dec. Ta-Fa Factory PTG granted ISO9002 certificate.
2002 Mar. Kaohsiung Factory granted OHSAS18001 certificate.
2002.Mar. Dairen Chemical (M) Sdn. Bhd. granted ISO-9001 certificate.
2002 Jul. Completed the revamping of AAL Plant at Kaohsiung Factory.
2002 Aug. BDO No. 2 Plant started-up with capacity 70,000 MTY at Ta-Fa Factory.
2002.Aug. Dairen Chemical (M) Sdn. Bhd. granted ISO-14001 certificate.
2002 Sep. Mai-Liao Factory granted ISO-9001 certificate.
2003 Feb. Increased Capacity of AAL Plant to 107,000MTY at Kaohsiung Factory.
2003 Apr. 1st Companywide integrated Audit of ISO 9001 and Granted the certificate with scope of all products.
2003 May. Established Dairen Chemical(JiangSu) Co.,Ltd. at Yizcheng ,JiangSu.
2003 Jun. Started construction of 30,000 MTY EVA Emulsion Plant , 40,000MTY 1,4-BDO Plant,
　　　　　　40,000MTY PTMEG Plant at Yizcheng Factory.
2003 Aug. VAM No2. Plant Increase Capacity to 300,000 MTY. at Mai-Liao Factory.
2004 Apr. DCJ held the opening ceremony in Yizheng on April 19th 2004.
