緊急避妊薬、治験へ 厚労省「性感染症が増」と懸念
コンドームの破損などで避妊に失敗したとき、その７２時間以内に服用すれば妊娠の可能性を低くできる「緊急避妊薬」の臨床試験（治験）が年内にも始まることがわかった。性行為後に行う緊急避妊について、厚生労働省は「コンドームの不使用につながり、性感染症が増える」などの理由で公的に認めていない。しかしこの数年、同様の効果が望める婦人病治療薬が本来の目的外で処方される形で普及している現実があり、議論になりそうだ。
治験の準備が進んでいるのは仏で開発され、「ノルレボ」 NorLevo という名で欧州、韓国など約６０カ国で販売されている薬。日本での販売権がある「そーせい」（本社・東京）が年内に始める意向を厚労省に伝えている。
〈緊急避妊〉 コンドームや低用量ピルと異なり、性行為後にするのが特徴。欧州を中心に、７０年代からホルモン剤を性行為後２回、間隔を置いて服用するヤツペ法が広がり、海外では００年ごろから緊急避妊だけを目的とする薬が普及した。日本では数年前から、ヤツペ法に基づき既存の婦人病治療薬を緊急避妊目的で処方されることがあり、「モーニング・アフター・ピル」などの名で知られている。

HRA Pharma was founded in 1996 by two experienced professionals from the pharmaceutical industry.
From 1996 through 1999, the company's founders, in collaboration with a small but experienced team, worked to develop several products. This work was financed in its entirety by the founders' own personal resources plus contributions by private investors.
The company's first product, NorLevo emergency contraception, was launched in France in May 1999. NorLevo generated such strong interest among key actors in public health that French health authorities initiated a series of measures aimed to facilitate its accessibility and dispensation. As a result NorLevo became the first hormonal contraceptive available without a medical prescription in France and the only contraceptive available free of charge for adolescents (under age 18) in pharmacies.
From 1999 to 2002, Laboratoire HRA Pharma focused its activities on the international development of Norlevo via product licensing agreements. As a result, NorLevo is now available in over 50 countries.
In parallel, the company has developed new products and today Laboratoire HRA Pharma's portfolio counts four products: NorLevo, Lysodren, Gymiso and Cicatridine. Laboratoire HRA Pharma has also a worldwide exclusive licence agreement on the KPH Hip Protector which is commercialized through licensing agreements. In addition, HRA Pharma currently commercializes in France some products from Orion Pharma's (Finland) portfolio.
In 2005, HRA Pharma has concluded an alliance with Celogos, an emerging biotech company in the field of cell therapy.
