The Styrenics business placed a number of its assets into a joint venture with NOVA in 2005 (Nova Innovene).
The scope of this joint venture was extended in 2007 to include all of the INEOS Styrenics US operations and the European polystyrene and expanded polystyrene assets. The venture was then renamed INEOS NOVA.

2007/10/17　Ineos、silica 事業を実質譲渡

Ineos は10月11日、Ineos Silicas 事業を Carlyle Group のPQ Corporation と統合すると発表した。
Carlyle Group が新会社 PQ Corporation の 60% を、Ineos が残り 40% を所有することとなる。
